Wilson, May 8—Following a county meeting of the Ku Klux Klan at Saratoga last night, about two dozen of the hooded band visited this city and paraded through the streets, and then visited the Maplewood graded school and burned a fiery cross on the lawn in front of the school building. The appearance of the klansmen in the business section created considerable excitement and several hundred persons trailed behind the procession to witness the burning of the cross. Just what was meant by the burning of the cross is a puzzle to those who witnessed the spectacle.
