Announcements have been issued reading: “Mr. and Mrs. William Dudley Reavis announce the marriage of their daughter, Leota Willis to Mr. McAlpin Thornton on Saturday, September 18, 1926, Winton-Salem, N.C.”
Mrs. Thornton is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Reavis of Courtney. She is a capable young business woman and has held a very responsible position with the Winston Printing Company for the past several years.
Her charming personality has won for her numerous friends since she has resided in this city.
Mr. Thornton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Thornton of Hartwell, Ga. He is a young man of splendid business ability and is connected with the Southern City Ticket Office.
Mr. and Mrs. Thornton have many friends throughout North Carolina and Georgia who will be interested in their marriage.
