We Have Confidence
All the world knows that America is in a chaotic condition,
but not all of the world believes that America has the brains, the will, and
the determination to bring sanity out of bedlam.
We, however, have confidence that such will be the final
outcome of the present era of brimstone and brutality.
We believe the government of Washington, and the congress of
chosen representatives of the people, will arise to the patriotic heights
necessary to restore order and fairness and justice throughout this land of a
self-governed people.
We believe that the great mass of the American people will
give to the government and the congress that loyal and unswerving support which
is necessary in this hour of national travail.
We believe that every true American will exert his utmost to
restore any country to that condition of tranquility which prevailed before
this wave of agitation and unrest and profiteering engulfed us.
Regardless of the present deplorable conditions, we have
confidence in America and American institutions.
