Thomas Terry, C.R. DeBerry Robbed in Separate Incidents, Nov. 7, 1919

Jitney Driver Robbed

Thos. Terry, colored jitney driver, was robbed of forty-odd dollars this (Thursday) night. Two negroes hired him to carry them into the country beyond Bud McAulay’s place. Reaching a secluded spot, they pulled their guns on Terry and forced him to hand over his money. Then then took to the woods.

Steals Clippers

A thief broke into C.R. DeBerry’s barber shop (colored) this (Thursday) night and stole five pair of clippers and a bottle of hair tonic.
