Woman Killed by Falling Cable

Concord, Aug. 16—Mrs. Jane Blackwell was instantly killed at the home of her daughter in Kannapolis yesterday afternoon when a Southern Power Company cable fell in the back yard and electrocuted her. Mrs. Blackwell was in the yard at the time.

A cow in a barn 100 yards distant also was killed by the shock. The cable broke as a result of the storm.
