Elizabeth City Red Cross Needs Sleeping Garments, March 5, 1920

From The Independent, Elizabeth City, N.C., March 5, 1920

Red Cross Wants Sleeping Garments

The Elizabeth City Red Cross wants sleeping garments and other clothing for both men and women for use in local relief work. Many families of working people are confined with Influenza and La Grippe and in many cases there are no clean sleeping garments in the home, the sickness having held back the washing for weeks. Often the need for clean garments is imperative and old garments will come in handy. Persons having clothing to donate for this worthy cause should communicate with Mrs. Fanny Miller Lamb or other active members of the local Red Cross Chapter.
