Police Officer Twiddy Out On Bond, Jan. 7, 1921

Police officer George Twiddy, who was arraigned in Police Court here Friday morning on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the killing of Henry Spencer, a colored man, whose home was raided for liquor on Christmas Eve was bound over to the March term of Superior Court under Bond of $1,000. The bond was signed by E.S. Chesson and W.A. Worth. (From the front page of The Independent, Elizabeth City, N.C., Jan. 7, 1921)
