Mr. M.D. Sizemore, who was here Monday from Meadows township, reported the death on Sunday of Mrs. Louise Baker, widow of the late Pink Baker. Mrs. Baker made her home up to the time of her death with her daughter, Mrs. Sam Baker, and had been in failing health for a good while, though she had been confined to her bed for only a few days. The deceased was 78 years of age. Her husband preceded her to the grave by three years.
Surviving the deceased are three sons and daughters, as follows: Mr. Cephas Baker of Guilford County; Mrs. Sam Baker and Mrs. Jerry Baker of Meadows township.
The funeral and interment was held Monday at Union Hill M.E. Church, a large number of friends being in attendance.
