Asheville, July 3—The swallowing of a peanut, which lodged in his wind pipe is believed to have caused the death of Ray Wells, 3 years old, who died at a local hospital. An operation was performed on the child in an effort to save his life when it was evident that infections set in. Pneumonia soon developed when the child suffered a relapse.
