Jarvisburg, Sept. 1—The Wright brothers had a family reunion this week. Those from out of the village were Mrs. Will Morgan and children, Willie and Leslie of Edenton, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Symons and children, Roy and Margaret, of Elizabeth City, Mrs. W.H. Harrison and children, Doris and Kathleen, of Elizabeth City, and Misses Bertha and Maud Snow of Norfolk.
C.A. Wright returned today from a business trip to Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Washington, and Philadelphia.
Mrs. Ernest Belanga and daughter, Ada, of Norfolk are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Forbes.
Misses Helen and Minnie MacNewbold have returned to their home in Hertford after visiting Mrs. C.A. Wright.
Miss Maude Newbern celebrated her 15th birthday Saturday night. After games were played, an ice course was served. Those present were: Misses Alma Owens, Mary Newbern, Sarah Woodhouse, Pearl Brickhouse, Grace Newbern, Janie Newbern and Roy Symons, Vernon Wright, Melvin Newbern and William Hughes.
Miss Eva Gregory gave a party Saturday afternoon in honor of her 15th birthday. Those present were: Willie Love Morgan, Evelyn Wright, Janie and Berdie Gallop, Olive Newbern, Janie Newbern, Leslie Morgan, Wilber Wright, Clarence Gallop, Nick and Tom Newbern, George Fisher and Horace Gregory.
