The 100 foot frontage on Hillsboro street between the Mangum Warehouse and Blalock’s Motor Company plant, opposite the Exchange Hotel, is being developed by Messrs. A.G. and N.A. Maydanis, who purchased the property some time ago and moved the residence to the back side of the lot.
It is the intention of Messrs. Maydanis to build four store rooms on the lot, including an arcade, through which the residence can be reached. The first of the rooms, 20 x 80 feet, adjoining the warehouse, is nearing completion. When the property is completed, as a whole, it will make a handsome appearance.
Messrs. Maydanis are manufacturers and wholesale dealers of ice cream and candy. Their place of business on College street, known as the Oxford Candy Kitchen, which they purchased some time ago, is too small for their expanding business, and it is understood that the manufacturing plant will be transferred to the new building on Hillsboro street when completed some time in the future, but the Candy Kitchen on College street will remain where it is.
