Wilson, Dec. 9—The dead body of Cecil Hinnant was found on the side of the public highway five miles north of this city Saturday night and before daylight this morning five suspects were placed in jail here.
Murray Dew, J.T. Miller, Lee Collins and Neil Hooks, all negroes, are witnesses to the killing and say that Turner Williams did the shooting.
The inquest, started at midnight, will be concluded in this city Monday afternoon.
