From the front page of the Moore County News, Carthage, N.C., Thursday, Dec. 13, 1923. Article actually states that she died at her home clock, which I take to mean that words were omitted. Also the article ends with the semicolon, and the names of her brothers and sisters were not printed. Miss Sallie's last name was spelled McInis in the newspaper headline and McInnis in the story.

Death of Leland Person
A very sad and unexpected death of one of our boys occurred on the 8th of December. Leland Frezell Person, youngest so of Mrs. Mollie Perso of Carthage, was in Norfolk, Va., where he had been only about 10 days, engaged in business.
The first symptom was a severe sore throat, which developed into spinal meningitis, which proved fatal, the end coming Saturday morning, December 8th, at 2:15. His body was brought home and tenderly laid to rest by loving hands at 11 o’clock Sunday in the Presbyterian cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, one sister and one brother.
