Louis Jones, 18, Driver of Car, Instantly Killed; Two Passengers Seriously Injured, May 1, 1924

Louis S. Jones, 18, student at the University of North Carolina, was instantly killed and P.V. Godfrey and Homer Kranitz were seriously injured in an automobile accident in Leaksville early Sunday. The automobile in which the three were riding left he road and struck a large stump, demolishing it. Jones is said to have been driving the car. All were residents of Leaksville.
