The annual reunion of the Shuford and Ramsuer families and their connections will be held in Hickory this year on September 16th on the campus at Claremont College. This is the first time the reunion has been held in Hickory and owing to the fact that many of the Shuford and Ramsuer descendants live in and near that place, adds interest to the annual gathering of the clans and will doubtless bring together a larger number of people.
Last year the reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Warlick of Reepsville, who on that day celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. This year Hickory will be hostess and will show due honor to the descendants of the early pioneers.
From the front page of the Lincoln County News, Lincolnton, N.C., Monday, September 8, 1924. the last name is usually spelled Ramseur but it is spelled Ramsuer throughout this article, so that may be correct.
