Concord, Sept. 20—Mrs. Walter D. Jones of Savannah, Ga., was killed here this afternoon when an automobile in which she was proceeding to Richmond with her husband, sister-in-law and daughter, skidded and overturned.
Mr. Jones, who is a druggist of Savannah, escaped with cuts and bruises. Miss Jones, his sister, suffered a broken arm while his daughter, Miss Clyde Jones, escaped injury.
The accident occurred when Jones attempted to pass another car, it was stated. The machine skidded against a bank and overturned, being completely wrecked. Miss Jones died before medical assistance could be rendered. The body, accompanied by relatives, left here tonight for Savannah.
