The top and bottom pictures show the new home of the Elizabeth City Country club, now nearing completion. The top picture shows the west end and north side of the building. The north side overlooks the golf course, a section of which is shown in the picture on the left hand center. The bottom picture shows the south end and south side of the building, which overlook the Pasquotank River, and from which, traffic for miles down the river may be seen. This part of the building not only commands a broad view of the river but receives the cooling breezes in summer that blow up the river. A splendid site was fund for the Country Club because its gently sloping hills, its location on the river and its convenience make it not only delightful for playing golf, but an ideal spot for a cool and comfortable social home for a membership that represents the social leadership of this section. The picture at the right shows a scene along the new road constructed by the Country Club to make it more accessible.
