General Jacobs, charged with the murder of Nehemiah D. Pendleton, Weeksville merchant, about two years ago, and Lawrence Jacobs, his brother, accused of the murder of Mack Whichard, a negro painter of this city, about four years ago, are to be given preliminary hearing in County Court Wednesday, October 7. General Jacobs was apprehended in Washington several days ago, and Lawrence Jacobs was arrested in Greenville.
