Tarboro, N.C., March 19—William A. Hart of Tarboro, state highway commissioner, fell dead in his home here today, while walking from his bedroom to the bath room.
Hart was 62 and was serving his second term as commissioner. He was a candidate for lieutenant-governor in the primary election and had seriously contemplated making the race for the governorship. He was a wealth landowner and farmer.
