Hugh McLean New Superintendent of County Home, Jan. 6, 1921

The County Commissioners on last Monday had quite a number of applicants for the position of Superintendent of the County Home to succeed W.T. Baldwin, who was not an applicant to succeed himself. The Board finally selected Mr. Hugh G. McLean for the position, the salary remaining at $450. Mr. Baldwin has been superintendent for eight years, serving since Sept. 3Rd, 1912. He returns now to the old County Home farm that he bought some time ago. (From the front page of the Rockingham Post-Dispatch, Thursday afternoon, Jan. 6, 1921)
