Raleigh, Jan. 5—W.C. Nanny, son-in-law of the late Martin Harris of Gilkey, Rutherford county, has received a signed registered letter containing $135 from a man in Tennessee in payment for a horse stolen from Mr. Harris 53 years ago. The repentant horse thief says he stole the house from Mr. Harris in 1867 and now that he is a changed man wants to make restitution.
