By M.T. Brodie, Charlotte, N.C.
When trouble fills your very soul,
And hardships upon you continue to roll;
Look to the future, forget the past,
Harness the present, unharness the past.
When life itself seems to ebb away,
Work to live happier another day;
For we living in the present will soon be dead and past,
And to live in the future is greter than living in the past.
When the evening has come and we are gathered
All around one common abode.
Shall we not count the precious medals,
Each has won for his own soul?
When morning dawns, and clouds have disappeared,
Shall we not stand hand in hand together,
Rejoicing on the other shore?
Rejoicing together for evermore.
