Tom Ashburn Loses Tobacco Barn and Crop in Fire, Sept. 7, 1921

Tobacco Barn and Contents Burned

Mount Airy, Sept. 7—Tom Ashburn, who lives near town, had the misfortune to lose a tobacco barn and its contents by fire. The tobacco was curing nicely when the barn caught fire and was completely destroyed. The loss, barn, tobacco and flues, was at least $1,000. The tobacco would have easily brought $600.
