Few people know that Elizabeth City firemen have a lung motor for use in cases of drowning, suffocation, asphyxiation, etc. The lung motor of the Fire Department has assisted in saving the lives of many people, some of them having been beyond all earthly aid by the time they could have been taken to a doctor.
