Court Dismisses Case That's "Dog Gone Mess," Nov. 6, 1923

Dog-Gone Dog Case

In the Court yesterday, Hardy Lovett of Grantham Township was tried on a charge of larceny of a black and tan hound dog. The identity of the dog hinged upon a knot in the dog’s tail. Ransom Keen claimed the dog as his property, Lovett likewise said the dog was his. After considerable argument by council, the Court intimated that the case was a “dog gone mess” and dismissed the action.
