The Sunday School convention of the Concord district, which was held at Ansonville July 25-29, was a splendid inspiration for Sunday School endeavor.
Dr. T.J. Houston, presiding elder of this district, directed the convention with Mr. W.H. Hall, who is the district superintendent.
Most of the schools were represented, making fine reports.
Dr. J. Francis Lee was present and talked from the subject, “A Modern Sunday School.”
Dr. S.D. Watkins also addressed us.
On Thursday the convention was graced with the presence of Bishop G.L. Blackwell, presiding bishop who offered many suggestions for the advancement of the Sunday School.
We have not space to permit our dwelling at length on the many good things said and one at this gathering. But we just want the readers to know that the Sunday Schools of the Concord district are up and doing.
