Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Brown Shephard, daughter of Paul A. Brown, who died in St. Thomas hospital, Nashville, Tenn., will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the residence of her father, 612 Arnette avenue, conducted by Rev. W.W. Peele, pastor of Trinity Methodist church, assisted by Rev. Trela D. Collins, pastor of Temple Baptist church. Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery.
The remains arrived in the city Sunday morning on the 2:48 train and were immediately carried to the home of her father. Accompanying the remains was C.C. Brown of Charlotte, uncle of the deceased.
Active pall-bearers will be H.E. Repass, J.G. Martin, J.D. Pidgen, A.H. Yearby, W.W. Tucker, N.M. Harmon.
Honorary pall-bearers are: J.K. Mason, M.W. McCullum, R.A. Knight, W.T. Carpenter, W.B. Guthrie, and Sam Barbee.
Floral-bearers will be as follows: J.L. Kirkland, A.D. Whittington, D.W. Richardson, A.A. Couch, H.B. Swayne, G.E. Adcock, Lonnie Allen, and D.E. Durham.
