Spartanburg, S.C., May 28—Thirteen children and one woman, all of whom had been bitten by the same mad dog in the Drayton mill village just outside the limits of this city, were given the first of 21 treatments to prevent rabies by the city health officer yesterday morning. The children were bitten at various times over a period of several days, the dog having been made a pet of and carried to the Drayton school by first one then another of its young victims.
