G.W. Wood Slightly Hurt When Piece of Steel Strikes Him, Sept. 9, 1924

Slightly Hurt by Piece of Steel. . . Electrician Working on New Light Plant Slightly Hurt This Morning by Piece of Steel Falling 70 Feet

G.W. Wood of Wood-Whitley Electrical Company was painfully but not seriously injured this morning when he was struck by a glancing blow on the head by a falling piece of steel, while working on the new light plant. He was rushed to a local hospital where attending physicians stated that he was not seriously injured.

Mr. Wood was standing on the ground in a bending position, the steel falling from the top of the building, struck him a glancing blow, inflicting a chut on his head, which doctors stated was not serious. The sheet of steel was about three feet square.
