The remains of Mrs. Sadie West, 71, wife of D.J. West, whose death occurred Monday morning at the family home, 815 West Pettigrew street, following a lingering illness, were laid tenderly to rest in the quiet of Maplewood cemetery Tuesday afternoon, following funeral services from the late home at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Geo. L. Cooper, pastor of Trinity Avenue Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was a member. The last sad rites were attended by numerous friends and the wilderness of flowers representing the floral offerings of friends was a mute but beautiful testimonial of the respect and esteem in which the deceased was held.
