Thousands Attend Opening of Concrete Bridge Over Rocky River, Sept. 8, 1924

Albemarle, Sept. 4—A large number of Albemarle people attended today the celebration of the opening of a handsome concrete bridge which spans Rocky River on state highway route No. 27, located midway between Albemarle and Charlotte in the southern part of Cabarrus county. The dedication crowd which is estimated to number around 2,500, was made up about equally of people from Stanley, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg.
