Mr. Lee Crawford left for Fort McPhearson after a three-months visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Crawford. He will soon leave there for the Hawaiian Islands, where he will spend three years in the U.S. Army.

Miss Evelyne Sherrill, daughter of W.R. Sherrill, prominent Sylva lawyer, is improving from an appendicitis operation at the C.J. Harris Community hospital.
C.M. Wells is in the C.J. Harris Community hospital improving from a serious operation.
