Statesville Youth Missing for a Week. . . Thomas Bunch Left Home in Father’s Sedan and Has Not Been Heard from Since

Statesville, Aug. 22—Thomas Bunch, 14-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Bunch of Statesville, left home one week ago in his father’s Ford sedan and his whereabouts are becoming more and more mysterious.

Mr. Bunch was certain that his son had gone on a visit to relatives in Tennessee and wired relatives there to look out for him, but no reply has come that he is in that locality. A report that he was seen in Columbia, S.C., several days ago cannot be verified.

Mr. Bunch has made diligent inquiry at many points in this and adjoining states for several days in the hope of locating him but to no avail. The car bore North Carolina license number 198609.
