Mrs. Rebecca Langdon, widow of the late Elder Major Langdon, died on April 1 at the age of 72 years. She leaves to mourn her loss five sons, four daughters and two half sisters.
The funeral services were held at her home in Pleasant Grove township on April 2 at 3 o’clock, conduced by Elder L.H. Stephenson. The remains were laid to rest in the Stephenson burying ground. She was a true and faithful member of the Primitive Baptist church at Clayton.
Dearest grandmother you have left us
Safely in the arms of Jesus,
You are free from toil and care.
A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still;
A place is vacant in the home
Which never can be filled.
