Some of the farmers in the southeast corner of Person are selling corn to those who made a big tobacco crop last season. We think from what we can hear from the west side of the County that we ae in good shape. The south side of Granville county raised the best crop of tobacco in 1925 that they have raised in many years, and this is true as to a part of Durham County, and quite a good deal of this tobacco from each county was sold at the Planters warehouse in Roxboro. Mr. O.H. Oakley sold one grade which contained 40 pounds for $1 a pound. Mr. Sam Watkins, who runs the Johnson warehouse in Oxford, made some good averages. Many farmers sold at better than $60, and one man averaged as high as $72. They also made some good corn in the above mentioned counties.
