Charlotte, Sept. 4—The estate of W.F. Dowd Sr., estimated at more than $1 million, was left almost entirely to Mrs. Dowd and their children, according to the will filed for probate with the Mecklenburg clerk of Superior court today.
A request of $5000 was made to the Pritchard Memorial Baptist church.
W. F. Dowd Jr., a son, and the Merchants and Farmers National Bank were named as executors.
