Drops Eggs 700 Feet, Not One Broken

Atlantic City, N.J., May 14—Eddie Stinson, flying 700 feet in the air at a speed of 70 miles an hour, today dropped a crate of eggs on the Atlantic City Airport without smashing one of them.

The eggs were tossed over the side of the plane by W.L. Watkins of Seattle, inventor of a parachute used in the demonstration. The wind carried the parachute and its burden 300 paces from the point over which they were released. An automatic device released the crate when it reached the ground.

The eggs were sold as souvenirs, bringing 25 cents apiece.
