From the Daily Times, Wilson, N.C., July 5, 1919

Transfers in Property

Mrs. Margaret Simpson has sold a lot on the corner of Connor and Andersan Streets to Mr. L.T. Dildy consideration $1,700.

M.C. Dildy has sold two lots in Residence Park to the American Suburban Corporation consideration $1,100.

Mr. H.T. Crittenden and Mr. Geo. Stronach have moved to their new homes on Lucas Avenue.

Mayor’s Court

Mayor Hill heard the following cases this morning:

Ed Parry was charged $4.25 for running an automobile without the proper brakes.

Johnnie Sutton and Leon Dates paid $4.25 each for celebrating the Fourth of July by firing rifles.

John Daniel was fined $54.25 for carrying a concealed weapon.

George Brown paid $9.25 for being drunk on the streets.

Genard Everette was fined $14.25 for running an auto on the rim, damage to the streets resulting thereby.

Douglas Aycock was charged with failing to stop at the corner of Nash and Goldsboro streets and Will Fleming for interfering with an officer in the discharge of his duty in connection therewith. A plea of not guilty was made in both cases. It seems that the second case grew out of the officer disputing the contention of the four occupants of the car that the car did stop at the corner. A controversy began, ending with the officer attempting to carry young Aycock to the police station. Both cases were continued.
