The derailment of some four or five cars on the coast Line between Dunn and Godwin before the shoo fly and the through train passed delayed the passenger trains.
The track was cleared about 9 o’clock and this let the shoo fly by, reaching Wilson at 11:15, with the through train following. This delayed the arrival of the morning papers.
No one was injured in the wreck.
