The Board of Trade is to undertake to arrange for a camp site for the tin can tourists coming to Hendersonville this summer. The auto-touring class of tourists has become to be a great army and Hendersonville plans to offer camping facilities, as numerous other towns are doing.
Persons having suitable sites and interested I operating such a place on a commercial basis or having grounds to offer to the city are requested to communicate with the Board of Trade secretary.
From the front page of The Hendersonville News, Tuesday, April 11, 1922. Interesting that these men are relaxing at their campsite in suits!!
