A two-story frame building owned by Edna Bray and located in Sutton’s alley was practically destroyed by fire early this morning. Edna Hill, colored, who occupied the building, escaped with her small grandson, and a few articles of wearing apparel. A general alarm called both trucks to the scene and the fire was soon under control.
