Sam Crump, a farmer, 50 years old, shot and killed his wife at his home near Mint Hill. Mr. Crump heard a noise at a window and thinking it a burglar got his shot gun and went out. Mrs. Crump also got up and went out unknown to her husband, and when she came in view around the corner of the house in the semi-darkness the husband fired, thinking she was the burglar.
