Negro Shoots Step Father Over Mother

High Point, Oct. 7—Will Pennington, negro, shot and it is believed fatally wounded Edgar Taylor, his step father, here about 8(?) o’clock tonight, it is alleged by authorities. Warrants have been issued for Pennington but he has not yet been arrested.

The shooting is believed to have resulted from a quarrel between Pennington and Taylor, Pennington accusing his step father of ill treating the former’s mother.
