Several of the schools of the county opened last Monday, with teachers as follows:
Bethel—Mrs. John T. Bennett, Misses Annie Baldwin Horne, Elizabeth Horne, Ellen Edwards.
Cason Old Field—Mrs. W.J. Gulledge, Misses Kittie Wood, Ruth Covington.
Burr’s Ridge—Misses Isla Mae Davis, Susan Covington.
Flat Rock—Miss Nannie Gatewood.
Shady Grove—Miss Betsy Boylin.
The following schools will open October 23, with the teachers named:
Birmingham-Hough—Mrs. Pauline Griffin Simpson, Miss Myrtle Barker, and Miss Leala Hartge.
Camden—Mrs. G.K. Little, Miss Jessie Hyatt, Miss Lillie Belle Shepherd.
Red Hill (White Store)—Miss Thelma Rivers.
Cairo—Miss Nelle Burch, Miss Susan Covington.
The High School in Burnsville Township will not open until October 30th. The desks which were ordered some weeks ago have not been delivered.
