A much enjoyed surprise party was given Mrs. S.M. Rogers Monday evening in honor of her birthday, at her home on Burgess Street. The rooms were decorated in Hallowe’en effects, and the party was planned by Mrs. G.F. Hudgins and Miss Evelyn Rogers. Those present were Mrs. S.M. Rogers, Mrs. Cora Mason, Mrs. N.C. Clarke, Mrs. G.F. Hudgins, Mrs. A.L. Fagan, Mrs. Evelyn Hill, Mrs. Edwin Ferebee, Mrs. A.J. Armstrong, Mrs. S.W. Twiford, Mrs. N.H. O’Neal, Mrs. Nancy Tillett, Mrs. L.S. Simpson, Mrs. J.S. Rogers, Mrs. G.M. Hughes, Mrs. C.F. Wright, Mrs. G.W. Rogers, Mrs. Loderburg, Miss Emily Mann, Miss Mary Clifton, Miss Evelyn Rogers, Miss Ella Simpson, Mr. David Simpson and Marvin Rogers.
