The first display of home canned vegetables and fruits of the season was on sale at the curb market today and was speedily bought up by local housewives.
The canned goods were brought to town by Mrs. A.R. Dixon of Bellair. They included tomatoes, corn, apples and beans. Mrs. Dixon has put up more than 600 cans of fruits and vegetables.
An unusually large number of farmers had produce and meats on sale at the curb market this morning.
