Wadesboro, Feb. 17—The peach growing industry is beginning to receive a good deal of attention in this county since the boll weevil has arrived, much of the soil in the Southern section being adaptable to the production of peaches of a fine quality.
An expert has recently visited the orchards for the purpose of pruning and spraying the young trees, which have made a very satisfactory growth where they have been properly fertilized and cultivated.
