Washington, April 21—Four South Carolina prohibition agents who shot at an automobile containing two Asheville N.C. The agents suspended are Thomas Tolbert, acting state director; Leon Queen, acting head of the South Carolina field forces; J.H. Painter, and M.L. Wright. Suspensions without pay for 60 days were recommended by Haynes and approved by the Internal Revenue Commissioner Blair, in response to public resentment against the conduct of the agents.

The young women in the car were Misses Bowen and Mary Gwynn. Miss Mary Gwynn is the daughter of Rev. P.H. Gwynn of Leaksville, N.C.
