Alexander News. . . Quartettes Sing—Fishing Trip—Personals

Forest City, April 16th—Born to Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Summey April 14, a big boy.

Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Champion spent Sunday with Mr. Champion’s brother at Mooresboro.

The South Mountain school Junior Quartette sang at the Baptist church Sunday morning.

Sunday at the evening service the quartette of Mt. Pleasant (C) sang a number of songs which were enjoyed by a full house.

Mr. and Mrs. Vol Atkinson and Miss Gertrude Watson of Cliffside were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Padgett this week end.

Miss Della Vess, one of our girls who has been sick for some time, is back at work.

Mr. and Mrs. David Jones of Mooresboro were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Green here Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Summey were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Laughridge Sunday.

Messrs. Terry Moore, S.A. Summey, L.R. Champion, J.B. Neal and Luther Ledbetter went on a fishing trip last Thursday and report a fine time.
