Morris Hammett, little 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. N.D. Hammett, died Saturday morning at 11 o’clock at his parents’ home on the Chapel Hill boulevard. Diphtheria was assigned as the cause of the death. The little fellow was sick for about 10 days.
Surviving him are his parents, three sisters, Ruby, Catherine and Pauline Hammett, and one brother, Benjamin.
Funeral services will be conducted at the grave Sunday afternoon at 5 o’clock with Rev. W.C. Ball, pastor of the Lakewood Methodist church, officiating.
